Island Drug and Alcohol Service
New name, new building – the Island Drug and Alcohol Service (IDAS) is being officially opened on Tuesday 19 November at 3.00 pm by Graham Elderfield, the Trust’s Chief Executive.

Previously known as CODA (Community Drug and Alcohol Service) the service was renamed earlier this year and has moved to larger premises along the road at 102 Carisbrooke Road. There have been developments and changes to the services offered and the purpose of the launch is to reintroduce IDAS to other professions and the public.

The doors will be open from 10 - 4 for all to come along and meet the team and see presentations on all aspects of the services offered by IDAS which include.

  • Criminal Justice – Drug Treatment and Testing Orders/Arrest referral scheme
  • Core services – including treatment for drug and alcohol dependence and misuse including shared care scheme
  • Safer injection service/health promotion
  • Proposed Aricular Acupuncture Detoxification Service
  • Youth Offending Team

During the day staff will be on hand for discussion or to answer any questions about the services offered.
