Hospital Fun Day!

On Saturday, 6 July, the grounds of St Mary’s Hospital will be venue for a Hospital Fun Day (previously known as the Summer Fayre). A tremendous amount of work has gone into planning this event, which will prove to be a great afternoon out for everyone. The afternoon of fun starts at 12.00 and there will be a variety of attractions and displays:

  • Dance, exercise and drama displays
  • A band
  • A disco
  • Lots of lovely food, including a BBQ
  • A magician (Randini),
  • Banger cars and motor bikes,
  • A masseur
  • The League of Friends raffle, together with various tombolas
  • An amazing variety of stalls including good as new, plants, cakes, white elephant, toys, books
  • ice creams, candy floss,
  • A bar
  • bouncy castle, sponge throwing, face painting

    Entrance is free and the proceeds from the Fun Day will go towards providing equipment for Halberry and Shackleton. These are inpatient units offering assessment and treatment to older persons with mental health needs and people of any age with a dementing illness.
