Older people’s mental health – are you informed?

A new source of online information about older
people’s mental health has been set up on the
Island.
The Information Prescription Pilot provides
information for patients, their families and carers, and
professional staff so that patients can be directed to
appropriate services. It also highlights sources of
support to help people manage their condition.
The service is one of 20 pilot projects
nationwide being funded by the Department of Health and
is initially just dealing with depression, memory loss
and dementia.
It is hosted on the Isle of Wight Council
