‘Our NHS, our future’ is a wide-ranging review that allows staff, patients and the public – in fact anyone who is interested in the NHS – to help shape the vision for the NHS for years to come.

It is concentrating on three main areas:
• improving the quality and safety of services
• improving access to these services and
• reducing the inequalities in health described earlier.

The review is being led by Lord Ara Darzi, a leading surgeon and a government minister. His interim report has just been published (click here to see a copy) and he will produce a final report in time for the 60th anniversary of the NHS in July 2008.

Your views will help to ensure the NHS meets the needs of patients and the public given changing lifestyles, new technology, advanced treatment and new diseases.
