Quality Care - everyone, everytime

Adverse Weather Update
02 March 2018

Currently we’re running as many services as we can today but patients and the public should only travel to their appointment if it’s safe to do so.

We need as many staff – both clinical and administration - as possible to get to St. Mary’s Hospital as possible.   Staff who are concerned about their travel arrangements should check with the Snow Room at the Trust to get advice.  Southern Vectis are publicising the routes that are open.

We are keen to hear from the owners of 4x4 vehicles who can help transport staff around the Island and to and from the hospital.  Thank you to all the volunteer 4x4 drivers who are helping to transport NHS staff around the Island.   The number to ring is 01983-552206.

If we have to cancel services the details will be posted here.

SERVICES NOT AVAILABLE:

Maternity antenatal community clinics are cancelled today.  Women who would have been attending have been informed through the Maternity Unit Facebook page and telephoned.  These appointments will be rearranged.

Podiatry is not running in outlying clinics, but is running at St Mary’s hospital. Please contact on 534933 if you have any queries.

GP Practices across the Island are currently operating reduced services as staff have been unable to reach their practices due to the snow and icy road conditions. Practices have been advised to cancel routine appointments and will have already contacted patients to let them know of this. To avoid travelling, patients should ring their practice first if they have an urgent need and will be advised by their practice on what they need to do.

Gynaecology Clinic closed today.

Non-urgent Patient Transport Services are not operational today.

Phlebotomy / Blood Tests (walk-in service).
