‘Experience of Care Week’ #Expofcare

The IOW NHS Trust are celebrating Experience of Care week by inviting the public, patients, their carers or family members to come and have a cup of tea, a piece of cake and an informal chat with a staff member about their experience of using our services.

On Monday 23rd April between 10.30am – 1.30pm, in the Conference Room which is opposite the Full Circle Restaurant at St Mary’s Hospital, Parkhurst Road, Newport, PO30 5TG, staff members from across the Trust including clinical staff and members of the Executive Team will be present to talk to you about the experience of care you or a family member has received from Trust services.

Between 23rd and 27th April the NHS across England is celebrating ‘Experience of Care Week’ (#Expofcare).   It’s an annual event to celebrate how healthcare staff can positively impact patient experience every day but also a great opportunity to hear individual experiences of using Trust services and finding out what matters to them.

Patient Experience Lead, Vanessa Flower, said: “Experience of Care week is a great opportunity for us to meet the public, have an informal chat over a cup of tea to hear about people’s experiences of our care and learn how we can improve the patient’s experience. We want to know what is important to people; what are the little things that can be done that would have changed their experience for the better; and what are the things that we are doing really well that you wouldn’t want us to change. Many people don’t like to complain or comment on how they feel as they don’t feel it’s a big enough issue; this is the perfect opportunity to talk to us informally so we can learn from you and make those changes, however big or small.”
