National Cyber Incident

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust has NOT been directly affected to date, by Fridays National Cyber Incident.

As a result of IT issues at other Trusts in the UK, calls to their 111 service are being diverted to unaffected areas, including the Island's 111 Hub.  This may result in some delays in 111 calls being answered, due to the additional call volumes.  Plans for additional staff to support the service are in place and implemented.

Calls to the 999 service are not affected, which is for emergency calls only.

Our IT team on the Island is working with our suppliers to ensure our systems are kept safe with the latest software updates as they are released.  Systems are being closely monitored.

Further updates will be issued, as and when more information becomes available.
