Brexit has been a real concern to staff from European countries for a number of reasons – there have been some high profile incidents on the mainland where individuals have been targeted with physical and verbal abuse and they and their families feel unwanted and unloved and in areas where there was significant support for the leave vote this feeling is exacerbated.
We in the NHS and, especially here on the Island, need the vital skills of all our colleagues from overseas. I urge you to support the NHS Employers #LoveOurEUStaff campaign. As a Trust we are signing up to this and it would be great to see lots of your photos similar to the one below recently featured on Twitter and in the Observer. You can download a blank #LoveYourEUStaff sheet (PDF and Word versions available) below and write your country of origin on for a ‘selfie’ Either post your picture on your own Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other social media accounts and/or send them to email@example.com for the Communications Team to post them on the Trust’s social media.
