My Health Pledge

Could you be taking better care of yourself? Do you want to lead a healthier lifestyle but you’re not sure where to start?

My Health Pledge is a local campaign which encourages everyone, of all ages, to think about their health and care needs. Are there small changes you can make which could have a big impact on your health and wellbeing? Whether it’s exercising a bit more, improving your diet, stopping smoking, getting a flu jab or getting more involved in local activities or helping others, making a personal Health Pledge is a great place to start!

My Health PledgeEL

Your health pledge isn’t just about looking after your own health, it’s also about supporting local NHS services and making sure they are available for all who need them. You can help us to help you by making sure you use the right services at the right time, speaking to a pharmacist about minor conditions, getting your repeat prescription before you run out of medication, making sure you attend NHS appointments, calling 111 if it’s urgent advice you need and only calling 999 or visiting the Emergency Department at the hospital for serious or life threatening injury or illness.

So give yourself and local NHS services a helping hand by making a personal health pledge day!

Here is a selection of pledges to inspire you.
