Stay Well

Feeling unwell?
Don't wait - get advice from your nearest pharmacist

Winter conditions can be seriously bad for our health, especially for people aged 65 or over, and people with long-term conditions. So if you think that you are coming down with something, even if it's just a cough or cold, don't wait until it gets worse.  Act quickly.  The sooner you get advice from a pharmacist the better.

There are a number of things you can do to Stay Well this winter:

  • Get yourself protected with a flu vaccination
  • Stock up on winter food supplies
  • Keep as warm as you can - wear several light layers of warm clothes
  • If you become unwell seek early advice from a pharmacist before it gets too serious
  • Remember 111 is for 24/7 health advice when you need it or visit www.nhs.uk
  • Always complete the full course of any prescription medicines
  • Order and collect repeat prescriptions in good time and before weekends and holidays
  • Keep an eye on elderly or frail friends, neighbours and relatives
