The Bereavement Service offers helpful advice and support with the practical administrative process following the death of a relative or loved one at St Marys Hospital.
On behalf of the Bereavement Service and the Trust we offer you, your family, and friends our sincere condolences.
What you need to do first:
The first step is to contact our Bereavement Officer at your earliest convenience. They will be able to offer you guidance on the next stages, answer any questions that you may have and signpost you to the appropriate agencies should you require further assistance.
Staff at the Bereavement Centre also include Mortuary staff and Medical Examiner’s Officers. Together we aim to explain the processes, keep you informed at every stage and make sure that all certification is issued as efficiently as possible.
Contact and location Details:
The Bereavement Office is situated in the North Hospital. All visits are strictly by appointment and directions will be given on request.
The Bereavement Office is open from 9am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
The office is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Telephone: (01983) 534615
As we may be dealing with bereaved families, we may not be available to take your call immediately, but there is an answer machine available. Please leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible.
