Out of Hours Services

Need medical help fast but it's not an emergency
Call 111. You will be assessed, given advice and directed straightaway to the local service that can help you best.

Out of Hours GP Service
The Urgent Care Service provides an Out of Hours GP service when your own GP practice is closed.  To arrange access to the Urgent Care Service you will need to telephone 111.  The service is open from 18.30 each week day evening and from 08.00 Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.  To access the out of hours service, call 111.

Urgent Dental Services (when your dentist is closed)
Call 111 for emergency advice or treatment.

Mental Health Services
Call 522214. One of our trained call handlers will signpost you to the most appropriate service depending on your level of need. This may include an Out of Hours GP, a voluntary organisation or our Community Acute Service.

Accident & Emergency
For life threatening conditions, call 999 – Accident & Emergency (A&E). Emergency services are very busy. You should only attend Emergency Departments (A&E) if you are very badly hurt or if you become very seriously ill (life-threatening). This would include life threatening choking; chest pain; blacking out; severe blood loss or severe breathing difficulty.
