Registered Pharmacy

Pharmacy Reception

The Hospital Pharmacy is open 7 days a week and has a small range of medicines for purchase for minor ailments and illnesses. There is a registered Responsible Pharmacist available for advice, and when Beacon is busy can provide an alternative to a long wait if you have not visited a community pharmacy first.

Medicines cannot be purchased for patients staying in the hospital, the doctors will prescribe all medicines needed during your stay, please do not ask visitors to buy medicines to bring in without talking to the ward doctor or pharmacist. If seeing a hospital doctor for an appointment, please let them know if you buy medicines from pharmacies and ask before you use the hospital pharmacy shop.

Tel: (01983) 822099 ext 5643 for any concerns and advice about your medicines after you have left the hospital. The line is not manned all of the time, please leave a message and someone will return your call.
