Community Strategy

In 2018, the Isle of Wight NHS Trust executive leadership and operational management structure was redesigned to create four separate Divisions: Acute, Ambulance, Community and Mental Health & Learning Disabilities,

The Community Division is led by Lesley Stevens, Director of Community and Mental Health and Learning Disabilities and is supported by the Director of Operations for Community, Nicola Longson.

This strategy provides an opportunity to outline the focus of the Division over the next three years to take us closer to a future-fit community health service. The vision for integrated community services has been clearly articulated nationally, regionally and locally so the Community Division benefit from having a well-articulated strategic direction of travel. This document reflects the chosen model, the transformational journey so far and next steps. It also acknowledges the need to align with acute service delivery and embrace opportunities to work in different ways with Primary Health Care and the Independent / Private and Voluntary sectors.
