MHLD Strategy

The Mental Health and Learning Disabilities (MHLD) service has published their new Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Strategy, called No Wrong Door .

We involved the people who use our services and those who deliver them from the very start and more than 250 people took part in the workshops that helped to shape this new strategy.

This document sets out a new approach for our services which means that people who use mental health and learning disabilities services on the Isle of Wight will have a better experience of and access to the support they need, when they need it.

People told us they wanted us to organise our services in a way that makes sure there is a seamless journey if they need to move between services, this will include bringing in a single trusted assessment across our services and partner organisations so that people will only have to tell their story once when accessing services.

This strategy builds on foundations laid in the Isle of Wight Health and Care Plan and the Trust’s 2020-2025 strategy.

To find out more about this new approach and our next steps, read the MHLD strategy.
