Quality Strategy
The Isle of Wight NHS Trust is the only integrated acute, community, mental health and ambulance health care provider in England. Established in April 2012, the Trust provides a full range of health services to an isolated offshore population of approximately 140,000. This makes us unique and brings opportunity to “get it right” for our patients across the different parts of the service however, it also brings challenges in producing a strategy that is fit for all.
With this is mind our priorities are generic, which means that individual services/departments will have the opportunity to shape how they make improvements in their own areas which fits with their patient population and their own area of specialism and expertise.
Our Quality Priorities
We have placed our Quality Priorities under the Care Quality Commission domains:
Safe
Deteriorating patients
Sepsis
Learning from events
Effective
Right patient, right place, right time
Best clinical outcomes
Experience
Learning from experience
End of life care
Dementia care
