Prior to the start of the placement all PEs should register on the online system known as OPAL. This is very simple, go to www.opalbu.com on the right-hand side of the front page you will see a grey menu box click on PE / Mentor registration and then follow the screens. It takes a few minutes. If you find you have difficulty, please use the guides that can also be found in the same grey menu box. We are currently using OPAL not OPAL 2. Once you have done this your student will be able to link you to her portfolio for assessment purposes.

Locality Placement Contact

Students will be allocated a locality contact from their university for the duration of the placement. Please ensure you ask your student these details on their first day if you haven’t already had contact from them. Any concerns during the placement should be directed to this contact.
