It is the CSP’s expectation that placement delivery is a vital component of pre-registration education and that all CSP members have a responsibility to engage in practice-based learning (regardless of grade, role or practice setting).

This includes a schedule of all practice educator training sessions together with details of the curriculum, assessment documents, learning styles and other useful information for supporting UoS students on placement.

Students will be allocated a locality contact from their university for the duration of the placement. Please ensure you ask your student these details on their first day if you haven’t already had contact from them. Any concerns during the placement should be directed to this contact.

The CPAF which was created in conjunction with the CSP is now widely in use. The local universities are working together to provide regular sessions about its use. Please do contact the universities directly if you would like to attend an upcoming session.
