HDAS Healthcare Databases Advanced Search

Use to search multiple databases for journal articles, research papers and systematic reviews when in-depth primary evidence is required. Databases include Medline, Cinahl, Embase, PsychInfo. Results show full text links if available to Isle of Wight OpenAthens users.

For further information see this help sheet or the very useful short Video

Royal Marsden Manual Online

9th edition now available for Isle of Wight staff.

If you are on a Trust computer you can access the site from the following link http://www.rmmonline.co.uk this should automatically log you in to the resource but some Trust computers may require you to use your OpenAthens account. For users on non-Trust machines sign in with your OpenAthens account from the same link.

If you experience any problems with accessing the resource, please contact the library.

e-Learning for Healthcare

The e-Learning for Health hub houses many modules created specifically for the NHS.  IOW NHS staff can now register using OpenAthens credentials.  The registration process again requires you to log in with OpenAthens and then create an e-LfH user account.  It can be slightly puzzling to locate the modules you need, but the modules themselves seem straightforward and practical.  There are instruction pages on the website, but if really stuck do ask in the library for help.
