Important information

The situation at St Mary’s remains extremely busy and we desperately need your help to keep the Emergency Department free for those who need it. You can help by doing a number of things: 

• Only use our Emergency Department or call 999 for life threatening injuries or illnesses
  
  
• Collecting family and friends from hospital as soon as they are ready to be discharged to free up beds for those who need them
  
  
• Support friends, family and neighbours with shopping and collecting prescriptions if needed
  
  
• Only call 999 in the event of a life-threatening illness or injury
  
  
• Visit NHS 111 online or call NHS 111 for heath advice, or contact your local pharmacist or GP.

Changes to mask wearing from Monday 17 April 2023

From Monday 17 April 2023, visitors to St Mary’s Hospital and our other sites are no longer required to wear face masks in most clinical areas, unless it is their personal preference to do so.
