Our top priority in the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic is to protect our patients, our staff and our community.

All visitors and patients attending an outpatient appointment are required to wear a face covering. This is in line with the latest Government guidance.

To help you prepare please read the following guidance before you attend your appointment.

  • Make sure you have a suitable face covering that you can wear to your appointment. It should cover your nose and mouth, and you should be able to breathe comfortably.
  • Please arrive at the time your appointment is scheduled. Please do not come early. This will help us maintain social distancing measures.
  • As we continue to try and limit the number of people visiting our hospitals you will need to attend your appointment unaccompanied. However there are a few examples where patients are allowed to bring achaperone with them, including:
    • If the patient is a child
    • They lack capacity
  • If you or anyone in your household have experienced symptoms of coronavirus in the last 14 days, please do not attend your appointment unless you have confirmed it is safe to do so with the relevant department.
