Healthwatch IW

Healthwatch is an independent consumer champion created to gather and represent the views of the public on health and social care. Healthwatch plays a role at both national and local level and will make sure that the views of the public and people who use services are taken into account.

Enter & View
Healthwatch IW have an ‘Enter and View’ panel, which allows , as laid down in the Healthwatch regulations of 2012, Authorised Representatives to visit publicly funded health and care premises to see and hear for themselves how services are provided. During these visits the representatives will collect the views of patients, their carers, relatives and staff. They will then make recommendations to the NHS Trust on any improvements which in their opinion need to be made.

Reports for 2017/18 Workplan

  • 111 and out-of-hours GP services
  • Dementia Care
  • Social work services
