Trust Annual Awards
The Isle of Wight NHS Trust Awards is a great opportunity to highlight excellence and innovation, share good practice and celebrate outstanding achievements in Island healthcare. The Awards recognise and applaud the many teams within the Trust and its partners who are committed to introducing new ways of working to ensure the best possible care for patients.
All shortlisted entries will have undertaken work that is ultimately designed to improve patients’ health and their experience of healthcare. Wherever possible service users are engaged in the process and their views taken into account.
A panel comprising of Executive and Non-Executive Directors, staff and patient representatives assess all entries and select the finalists who are invited to attend the annual Awards ceremony. The ceremony is attended by members of staff, Members and representatives from the Island Community and the audience have a chance to vote for the winner in some of the categories. The overall winner is presented the Chairman’s Diamond Award for the brightest star among the shining examples of excellent practice.
The Annual Awards also acknowledge individuals and teams who have made a significant contribution to the work of the NHS on the Island. The things that make a difference to our patients are not necessarily major changes or huge projects – small changes can mean abig improvement in the patient experience.
The Trust Annual Awards would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Funding is also supplied through non-restrictive educational grants from a number of pharmaceutical companies and the Trust’s Charitable Funds.
