Our maternity team at St. Mary’s Hospital welcomed 2 babies on Christmas Day 2021.
First to arrive at 6.51pm was Zenayah, the daughter of Shelbey Ward and Zhalin Rugg of Totland, who weighed in at 6Ib 6oz.
Second to arrive as 8.28pm was the son of Joanna Ogden and Chad Brevitt of Seaview, who weighed 7Ib 5oz.
Joanna said: “Contractions started during our Christmas dinner and we when we arrived at St. Mary’s at 5.30pm, it wasn’t long before we met our wonderful baby boy, who came before his due date. We’ll be heading home today where the Christmas food and Christmas tele we missed awaits, along with continuing our family get togethers.
“The maternity team were great, the midwives are so lovely and supportive.”
The team at St. Mary’s are proud to have supported these 2 babies joining the world and wish them and their families all the very best for the future.
