Further to the national announcement on 2nd May that some women aged between 70 and 79 are being offered the opportunity for a breast screen because they were not sent an invitation for a final screen, as part of the routine NHS Breast Screening Programme we would encourage anyone with concerns to contact the national helpline on 0800 169 2692.
It is important that individuals who have questions ring the Helpline number rather than St. Mary’s Hospital, the Breast Screening Service or their GP because the records are held nationally. Further information can be found on:
