The NHS in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and Public Health England (PHE) are well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases.
The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.
You can find all of the latest advice and guidance online at: www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19
Stay at home if you have coronavirus symptoms
Stay at home if you have either:
- a high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
- a new, continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly
Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
If you are well and have an appointment booked
At the moment all other Isle of Wight NHS Trust services are running as normal - there is no need to cancel outpatient appointments.
There are restrictions in place to limit visits to the hospital.
