Island’s health and care providers are on the lookout for new talent

Island’s health and care providers are on the lookout for new talent
15 September 2023

Over 20 health and care employers are joining forces to host a major careers festival on the island in a drive to find new recruits looking to make a real difference to people’s lives.

The festival, which will showcase career opportunities in healthcare and social care, is taking place on Wednesday 20 September, 10am to 3pm at Lord Louis Library in Newport.

Everyone is invited to come along to find out more about how they can start a career in the health and care and find out what opportunities are currently available.

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and meet people who already have rewarding careers in health and care on the island.

There will also be information about current vacancies and the opportunity for people to express their interest and/or have an initial interview on the day.

Local employers showcasing their jobs and career opportunities include Isle of Wight Council, Isle of Wight NHS Trust, Mountbatten Hospice and One Wight Health, along with private and independent health and care organisations.  The DWP and Princes Trust will also be at the event to provide support to individual job seekers.

If you are looking to develop a rewarding career within the sector, then our teams would like to meet you.
