Virtual Recruitment Event offers a window into our Community Services and roles on offer
08 November 2022

If you want to make a difference in your community and would like to find out more about a career in community healthcare, we would love you to join us at our virtual recruitment event to find out more.

You might be interested in taking your first steps into a healthcare career, or you may have experience in other areas of health or social care.

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust’s virtual recruitment event takes place on Tuesday 15 November from 12.30pm to 1.30pm and will provide information and support for those interested in a career in healthcare, even if you do not have any previous experience or qualifications.

Those who attend can find out first-hand what it’s like to work within community services, get information about the range of flexible roles available and talk to representatives from our training and development team about training opportunities, plus get the chance to ask questions.

Our Community Services teams work in the heart of our local communities providing vital services to help support patients with chronic conditions to live full and happy lives and to help others on their journey back to full health, doing everything from providing specialist footcare to monitoring blood pressure and helping patients feel comfortable and at ease.

Nicola Longson, Operations Director of Community Services, said:

“If you are thinking about a role in the NHS then this event will help give you an insight to what’s available and possible. The event is designed to showcase the wide range of roles and opportunities available in the community services and we look forward to meeting potential candidates.

“The NHS on the Island offers a wide range of community-based opportunities, within a supportive culture, committed to ongoing professional development, in teams who are dedicated to delivering high quality care for the community. If you can join us at this ‘Community Virtual Information and Recruitment event’ you will be able to find out more about entry level to specialist roles, development and career progression.”
