Ward and department moves at St Mary's Hospital

Community unit moves August 2023
Ward and department moves at St Mary's Hospital
28 July 2023

From Tuesday 1 August there will be a number of ward and department moves taking place across St Mary’s Hospital.

These moves are to support a programme of work that will see major improvements to the environment on our community unit, Laidlaw.

As part of the refurbishment works some of our wards will be relocated to help accommodate our Community Laidlaw patients whilst work gets underway.

On Tuesday 1 August patients in Compton Ward will be relocated to Newchurch Ward, located in the North Hospital Level B next to St Helen's Ward.

Patients on the Community Unit (previously known as Laidlaw) will then be transferred to the newly vacated Compton Ward, also in the North Hospital.

In addition to these moves Wellow Unit will now also be relocated from its current location in the Stroke Ward to the relocated with the Community Unit to the newly vacated Compton Ward.

If you need any way finding support please speak to one of our friendly volunteers in orange uniform or a member of our reception team.

Take a look at our site map to find out more about the department moves.
