Health Screening Medicals
For Businesses:
Many businesses arrange to have their production and front line staff seen by Occupational Health for Work Related Health Surveillance. These tests are to assess if their work is having an adverse effect on their health. Office based staff rarely receive any health screening, such as Display Screen Equipment assessment (DSE), because there is no identified health risk. However, there may be hidden risks, such as stress, or other lifestyle factors which can often affect an employee’s performance at work.
Our health screening medicals are designed to highlight any potential areas of concern in order to improve staff’s health and therefore their performance and productivity at work.
We can provide a full range of Lifestyle and Personal Health Screenings. These medicals are designed to assess your current state of health and to highlight areas which you may like to address to make improvements.

We have extensive experience in the topic of stress, and how an imbalance can cause ill health, poor performance at work, relationship and communication difficulties.
We can provide Health checks, Counselling and Assessments for employees off sick with mental health problems.

Stress
Stress is the highest cause of sickness absence from the workplace in the UK. To comply with Health & Safety legislation, and support your company in assessing the risks of stress to the employees, Occupational Health (OH) can independently facilitate this process using the HSE Management Standard tool for Tackling Work Related Stress We have 8 years of experience in undertaking audits and facilitating focus groups.
The first stage involves the use of an anonymous questionnaire (which can be for one or several teams). The questionnaires are analysed by OH and the results e-mailed back to the manager/company. This gives a broad picture of the HSE’s six different management standards:
Focus groups are then conducted with staff in order to explore specific issues and identify ideas for action and improvement. A report is then collated summarising all of the above results and sent to the employer complete with a management plan template to help you implement your responses
