The workplace has a significant impact on people’s health and well-being. Poor management of workplace health can lead to work-related ill health and high levels of sickness absence.
Keeping your staff healthy and tackling sickness absence is important because of the costs involved, the impact on service delivery and the consequences for individual staff. A good Occupational Health service makes sound business sense and helps companies become more productive and save money.
Occupational Health Isle of Wight has provided Health and Travel services to the NHS, businesses and the general public for over 25 years. The multidisciplinary team provides a wealth of experience and knowledge across a wide range of employment settings. We also provide a full range of travel vaccines which are available at competitive prices, as well as medical assessments for drivers, care workers and other professions.
Being based at St Mary’s Hospital we can service the needs of the Island population effectively and efficiently, with our friendly staff providing a 5 day per week clinic service and additional clinics can be arranged as required outside of the normal working day.
We can arrange to visit your place of work to carry out Work Related Health Assessments and Immunisations as well as providing Sickness Absence Management services
Our local knowledge is backed up by the expertise of the NHS and the department is currently working towards the accreditation by the national SEQOHS scheme (Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Service).
We pride ourselves on being able to provide a personal and local service to the lsle of Wight population.
