Meet the team


Emma Wheldon, Physio Admin Assistant

Emma has worked for the NHS for 9 years. In this time she has worked in several departments including Out-patients, Ophthalmology, Rheumatology and wards as a Healthcare Assistant and gained an NVQ level 3 in Care in 2007.

For the past 5 years Emma has been a member of the Physio Administration Team where she undertakes all aspects of Admin support to the Musculoskeletal, Pelvic Floor and Aquatic Physiotherapy team; this includes keeping the Physiotherapists organised and under control!

In 2015 Emma worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant within the Pelvic Floor Team for 6 months; this gives her a great understanding of Patient’s needs and what they are to expect from their visit to us. Emma also works part-time as a Physio Assistant at weekends on our Orthopaedic wards.

Emma spends her spare time baking cakes which the Team get to enjoy from time to time, and going on walks along the beautiful beaches around the Island with her lovely Labrador, Poppy!


Kerry Morris, Physio Admin Assistant

Kerry has worked for the trust for seven years starting on the staff bank in the antenatal clinics before becoming a physio admin assistant.  She has been in this role for six years organising referrals, appointments and the physio diaries whilst also providing admin support for aquatic therapy and the pelvic floor team.  Kerry has a Business and Admin NVQ level 3 qualification and has a commitment to attend further training courses to help with her development.  In her spare time she likes spending time with her family and dog called Tia who she takes to obedience, flyball and agility classes.


Lara Watson, Pelvic Floor Specialist Physio; BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy; Cert. MDT; Pg. Cert

Lara is a Chartered Physiotherapist who qualified from The University of Liverpool. Lara worked in Liverpool as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist before moving to the Island in 2006. In 2010-2012 Lara undertook post-graduate study at The University of Bradford, gaining a Post Graduate Certificate to specialise in the treatment of pelvic floor related disorders. Lara has also trained with the Pelvic Partnership and is a qualified ‘Fit-Back and Bumps’ instructor. A self-confessed ‘pelvic floor geek’ Lara is very passionate about her work and is committed to the ongoing development of best practice and increasing our awareness and understanding of the pelvic floor and its many amazing functions. Away from work Lara has a small holding and enjoys walking her dog, riding her horse and running in the beautiful Isle of Wight countryside but mainly keeps fit rounding up naughty escapee sheep!!!


Sally Pitcher, Pelvic Floor Floor Specialist Physio Assistant

Sally has worked in the field of Physiotherapy for the past 20 years in both the public and private sector. As a physiotherapy assistant she carries out various tasks including 1:1 patient contact to running classes and supporting the physiotherapists she works alongside.  Through her long service within the industry she has an understanding  of  patients’  needs  to help them progress and give them confidence during their time in treatment.  She enjoys leading an active life, especially playing a good game of tennis!


Samantha Morley, Senior Physiotherapy Assistant

Sam has worked in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy for 8 years. Since qualifying as APPI Pilates class Instructor Sam has provided 1-1 treatments as well as leading classes for pelvic issues as part of the POGP team (Pelvic, Obstetric & Gynaecological Physiotherapy).  Sam holds many additional exercise qualifications including, Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructing, Keep Fit Association Teacher, Shallow water exercise, Otago exercise leader. Sam’s dedication to fitness & wellbeing extends to her free time when she enjoys running, cycling and leading independent fitness classes.
