After a kind invitation from the Applegate Breast Cancer Support Group, Sally and Lara had a lovely morning out at the Riverside Centre explaining the role of Pelvic Floor Physiotherapists. We discussed how the pelvic floor works, common symptoms and self help measures to help the pelvic floor stay happy and healthy. It was a pleasure to meet to meet the group and to share useful information (02/11/17)

Our runners event, held at the Riverside Centre in Newport attracted 28 runners, who learned about the relevance of posture and breathing to pelvic floor function among other things. We would like to thank Sue Bailey for helping to make the event such a success.

The team recently attended a conference lead by Susan Coel Clinton who is a leading figure in Women’s Health in the USA. We considered how the neck and thorax affect the pelvic floor. We are talking the glottis, breathing patterns, intrathoracic pressure, Intra-abdominal pressure, the role of the autonomic nervous system, posture...sooooo much more. We left with renewed motivation to continue developing our holistic treatment of pelvic floor problems.
