Children's Centres

For parents and carers who have children aged 0-5years or who are expecting a child the Isle of Wight has 8 children’s centres across the Island where you can go, completely free of charge, to ask for advice and information about bringing up children.

Children’s Centres work in partnership with midwives, health visitors, voluntary sector and many more to deliver a complete care package to local children and their families.  

As well as being a place to ask for advice the children’s centres run many free activities that parents and children can attend that give opportunities for parents to be supported in bringing up their children healthily and safely.  

The children’s centres can also help parents ready to seek training for returning to work by giving information about where to go for help and often run activities in the centre or in community settings that support a return to work.

Health Visitors work closely with Children’s Centres. You can go to any children’s centre as often as you want. The  children’s centres on the Isle of Wight are:
