Patients, families and members of the public are being invited to say thank you to hospital staff who made a difference to their care by nominating them for a People’s Choice Award.
Part of our Trust’s Delivering Excellence Awards, the People’s Choice Award recognises an individual or team who provided outstanding care or made a real difference to someone’s experience of using our Trust services.
Nominations are now open and close on Friday 11 December 2026.
Student Nurse Apprentice, Karolina Adamski won the 2026 People’s Choice Award after being shortlisted alongside three other members of staff. She was nominated for her exceptional patient care, particularly supporting those with additional needs.
Her nominator shared: “Patients genuinely adore Karolina. When they see that she is on shift, their mood visibly lifts. They feel safer, happier and more supported simply knowing she is there.
“She is not afraid of challenges and consistently goes above and beyond to improve patient comfort and emotional well-being. Despite being an apprentice, she demonstrates maturity, empathy and dedication far beyond expectations. Karolina does not just care for patients; she makes them feel loved and valued”
Paul Hargreaves, Chief People and Culture Officer said “Our staff give me so many reasons to be proud, from the expertise they bring to their work to the kindness and reassurance they offer patients and families when it matters most.
“We want to give the public the opportunity to help us celebrate that great care. If an individual or team has made a difference to you or someone close to you, please put them forward for the People’s Choice Award. Your nomination is a chance to say thank you and help us recognise the people behind your care.”
Nominate an individual or team by Friday 11 December 2026 by completing this nomination form.
