The main entrance at St Mary’s Hospital will be getting a facelift from Saturday 6 September.

The new entrance will see the existing canopy replaced and with improved lighting.

During the works there will be periods of time where the main entrance, drop-off and parking area will need to be closed to accommodate installation of scaffolding, crane lifts and delivery of materials.

Throughout September and October, access to the main entrance and use of the drop-off and parking area will be unavailable on the following dates:

  • Saturday 6 September and Sunday 7 September (including overnight)
  • Wednesday 10 September from 6:30am to 9am

On Wednesday 15 October there will be no access to the drop off/parking area, however the main entrance access will still be accessible.

There will be a further full closure of the drop off/parking area and main entrance on the following dates:

  • Thursday 16 October 6:30am to 11:30am full closure
  • Saturday 18 October and Sunday 19 October (including overnight)

During the main entrance closures visitors and staff will be re-directed to access the hospital via the Day Surgery Entrance, a map of these entrances is below:

The work schedule is subject to last minute changes, any updates will be shared on the Trust’s social media accounts.

Completion of works are expected to be finalised by Monday 20 October.
