The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that industrial action by resident doctors will take place across England from 7am on Wednesday 17 December 2025 until 7am on Monday 22 December.

We all know how worrying it can be when your child is unwell and with winter bugs such as coughs, colds and flu already circulating there are things you can do to help get you and your family ready to stay well this winter.

Our services remain very busy.
You can help by:
- Only using our Emergency Department or call 999 for life threatening injuries or illnesses
- Collecting family and friends from hospital as soon as they are ready to be discharged to free up beds for those who need them
- Visit NHS 111 online or call NHS 111 for heath advice, or contact your local pharmacist or GP.
